Flight Cabin Carry-on Hard Cases

Cabin hard cases, also known as carry-on hard cases, refer to luggage that meets an airline’s maximum size allowance for items brought into the aircraft cabin. These size limits exist because cabin storage space is limited, especially in the overhead compartments.
Check-in luggage is usually larger than carry-on luggage and has a higher size allowance. However, there are still maximum size restrictions, especially for oversized, irregular-shaped, or non-standard luggage. Please check with your airline before travelling, as baggage rules may vary depending on the airline and aircraft model.
For carry-on luggage, avoid packing dangerous items such as cutters, sharp tools, or anything that could potentially be used as a weapon onboard the aircraft.
For check-in luggage, do not pack batteries, flammable items, or other restricted materials. If a fire starts inside the checked baggage storage area during a flight, it is more difficult to detect and extinguish quickly.
Typical Size Restriction
The carry-on luggage size for most airlines is typically limited to 56 x 35 x 23 cm (22 x 14 x 9 inches), including handles and wheels. Or a quick and simple guide by the airlines is to take the sum of the 3 dimensions to be <115cm. For this example, 56 + 35 + 23 = 114cm which is less than 115cm.
Note: Not all airlines are this strict in their luggage rules. It’s best to check with the specific airline you’re travelling with, as the size and weight restrictions may vary. Some airlines may have more strict guidelines. It is best to check directly with your airline before you travel to avoid any unexpected inconvenience.
